Spectrodensitometer SRP1 Hm. Based on the micro-spectrometric head with a measurement range of 340 - 780nm at 256 points (usage range in relation to the light source is 390 - 710nm). Full spectrum measurement enables both the densitometry measurements using all the relevant standards filters such as ANSI status T, ANSI Status E, ANSI Status A, DIN 16536 and DIN 16536NB (20 nm) and colour measurements. There are additional HiFi filters for measuring in the Hexachrome technique (CMYK + Orange + Green). Absolute optical density is possible and in terms of paper used for printing. In the second case the colour of the paper is deducted from the measurement. Colourmetric measurements based on the CIE L*a*b*, CIE L*u'v ', CIE L*C*H° CIE Yxy, Hunter L*a*b* and CIE XYZ. There is a possibility of setting standard observer (observation angle) according to CIE 2° and 10°, and standard lighting A, B, C, E, D75, D65, D55, D50, F2, F7, F11, LED50, LED35, LED27 (LED lamps, color temp. 5000°, 3500° and 2700° K). Calculating the colour difference using CIE76, CIE94, CIE 94 Textile, CMC and CIE 2000 method is possible. Calculating metamerism for two color samples at two illuminants. Calculating whiteness with formula CIE Whiteness, Ganz Whiteness, Ganz-Grieser Tint. The unit can store up to 50 colour samples in its permanent memory, and then can display a given number during the measurement if the measured colour has a difference of less than DE6.0 according to the chosen calculation method (colour number is displayed in green if DE <2.0, in yellow if DE <4.0, and red if DE <6.0). A sample from the memory can also be selected and all measurements will indicate the difference to the sample or ordinary comparative measurements - each measurement indicates a difference to the previous one. The colour conversion of RGB values or L*a*b* can also be displayed in the additional fields for measuring optical density and the raster. The Spectrodensitometer includes the Pantone Solid Coated (906 colours).

After any measurement (colour, density, raster) the spectrodensitometer can see the degree of light reflectance (reflectance %) and absorption (density D) in the entire spectrum - from 390 to 710 nm every 10 nm. It also allows the spectrogram display of the measured sample.

The latest DRP densitometer series model. Thanks to the modern and efficient 32bit ARM processor, and new colour high resolution TFT display, the speed is improved as well as accuracy and clarity of reading. As in the previous model, the measurement is based on the integrated circuit and a digital RGB converter. The additional changes in comparison to the previous model is that the automatic time setting, which turns off the device, has been introduced as well as the time setting screen blanker (decreasing brightness), last measurement memory, after turning off the device and switching on again, shows the last measurement on the display and optional wireless transmission measurements to the host machine. Measurement of the dot gain raster has been added as well as its graphical presentation (colour chart). Depending on the display setting options, the densitometer can display the values of other measured CMYK colour (from memory) in the lower fields, or the value of all channels (components) measured by area. This function can be used to the indicative comparison of various materials and prints with mixed CMYK colours. It also allows the approximate conversion of the measured CMYK colour to RGB.

The densitometer’s construction has been simplified by using the integrated digital sensor RGB type while increasing capabilities, functional values and measurement accuracy.
With a simple design has also managed to keep a very low price of the device.
The continuous measurement was introduced - holding down the pressed button measurement you can move the densitometer measuring hole for another measuring areas (watching them highlighted and enlarged in the crosshairs) reading the measurement value at the same time.
This method is much faster and more convenient than “tapping” the traditional constructions of the viewfinder.
Densitometer provides the most common functions used in the offset printing process control (as well as other printing techniques like CMY and CMYK, partially Hexachrome etc.)
